Booking an European Adventure holiday with TrekkingBug.com is simple and easy. All our holidays are tailor-made and our team are always happy to assist. You simply have to book your flights and, based on your dates, we organise an itinerary for you.
This is how we recommend you plan your trip:
1-Request a proposal
Request a proposal from the TrekkingBug.com team with your chosen European Adventures itinerary by filling our online form, by email or by phone.
Dates on our itineraries are completely flexible (for self-guided tours, our guided tours depart on specific dates). The purpose is to give you a detailed account of the route, days and cost.
2-Book your flights
Once you have your itinerary proposal, it is time to book your flights. If you need help finding the closest airport to your starting point, we have a handy online airport flight finder and airport guide. Each holiday also includes an ‘access’ tab with information about transport.
3-Book your European Adventures holiday
Once you have your flights booked, it is time to contact the TrekkingBug.com team to confirm your itinerary and book your holiday. Once your booking is done, the reservation process starts.
This is the time to discuss any changes to your itinerary, as changes requested once reservations have been made, might result in change fees (see step 5).
4-What are ‘change fees’?
A ‘change fee’ of €40 applies to changes made to bookings/reservations made with TrekkingBug.com.
5-What is considered a ‘change’?
A change to your booking affecting travelling dates and reservations already made.
There is no change fee for the following: booking additional nights at the beginning or end or your journey (add-on), hotel upgrades or booking additional services such as meals, transfers, extra bags (please note bags are charged per item).
6-When can I make a change?
Changes to your booking can be done up to 14 days prior to departure. Changes can not be done while on the trip.

Every day we will transfer your luggage to the next hotel so you only have to worry about walking. The luggage generally arrives at the hotel before the end of your day walk. When you arrive it will be there waiting for you! Make sure to drop the bag at reception before you leave and ensure the tag is on it.
During the day, you can walk or cycle comfortably with just your daypack (containing the essentials: water, food, light jacket). Travelling with a lighter pack provides you with an additional level of comfort to ensure you really enjoy your trip.
If you decide to take the option of a picnic, your hotel will provide you with a picnic lunch that morning before you set off on your walk.
Please note that this service covers 1 piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 20kg per person however if your luggage is more than this. Please contact us and we will work with you on it.
After a day out, what could be better than to arrive to a warm welcome? We have handpicked our hotels based on their character, facilities and comfort. You will usually arrive at your accommodation in the afternoon giving you plenty of time for a refreshing shower and a visit to the local village, or maybe just to unwind and relax yourself.
Then finish your day by topping it off with a traditional meal in your hotel prepared with the best fresh regional products. We always give preference to accommodations recommended by recognised guidebooks and who have their own restaurant, awarded with a quality label, and chefs. In addition to that, we visit the hotel regularly to ensure the quality of the service we provide you is top-class. Please don’t hesitate to request information about the hotels.
In some situations, we have even designed the route so that it passes by a hotel that we particularly like. However, it can happen that on certain stages the accommodation, whilst always clean and friendly, will be more basic.
Not a single experience abroad is complete without good food! We place emphasis on regional products and traditional dishes. This is an important criterion in our hotel selection. Meals are typically made from fresh, local products and served in a traditional manner.
Generally continental in most of small places, except in 3 and 4* hotel where you can expect a full breakfast
We can prepare a picnic lunch for you, made of sandwich, fruit, chocolate or cereal bars. But you will often find bars and restaurant en-route. Ask us for advice.
